Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave 2019

Identifying Growth Opportunities In A Disruptive Era

Event Starts in:

Identifying Growth Opportunities In A Disruptive Era

2017-18 was a key milestone year for the Indian two-wheeler industry which crossed the mammoth 20 million-units mark in annual sales for the first time ever. The bottom of the industry pyramid continues to be the entry-level motorcycle or scooter, but there is a trend of premiumisation that has the entire two-wheeler market covered. That explains the recent introductions of the Suzuki Burgman Street scooter in the mass market, and the entry of BMW Motorrad's first Made-in-India motorcycle twins – G310R and G310GS – in the mainstream premium motorcycle market.

The megatrends of electrification, connected vehicles and safety are gradually making their mark in the two-wheeler market too. In India, two-wheelers have been taking the lead in the country' electrification journey so far and it looks like this will continue, what with some start-ups entering the fray and making it more interesting. These developments, along with the introduction of new regulations, are challenging engineers and product planners to come up with the right solutions at competitive prices. Challenges and opportunities are emerging for both vehicle OEMs and component manufacturers.

The scenario is not getting easier for sales and marketing teams too. Consumer trends today are reflected across multiple segments. Trends are changing faster, both in terms of consumer tastes and purchase/usage patterns. Will the conventional retail model in the industry need to undergo a major change? Will electric two-wheelers reach a critical scale in India? What are the new regulations and technology trends that the industry should prepare for? All in all, what all does every industry player need to do to ride the new growth wave? The third edition of the annual Two-Wheeler Industry Conclave will see plenty of lively discussions and debates among two-wheeler industry leaders to find the answers. The conclave will see top notch keynote speakers and presentations by domain experts, in addition to panel discussions.

It's a must-attend event for every stakeholder of the two-wheeler industry.
